This entertaining half-day narrated drive and tram ride around Lisbon, is a wonderful way for the first-time visitor to experience this vibrant city. Drive to Martm Moniz Square and board your tram for a leisurely circuit of Lisbon's famous seven hills. Pass by the Se Cathedral, a pretty 12th-century church in the heart of the Alfama Quarter. Then view the Parliament building the 16th century Jeronimos Monastery, an awe-inspiring building, that blends Moorish and Gothic styles, before heading to the Monument to the Discoveries, which sits on the banks of the Tagus, and commemorates Portugal's maritime history. View the Belem Tower fortress that was built to defend the harbor and was originally used as a lighthouse. Then sample one of the city's local treats, a Pasteis de Nata de Belem, a creamy custard cup, accompanied by a glass of port wine. On the way back to your ship you will see the Black Horse Square, also known as Commerce Square.
