Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Meet your friendly guide at the harbor, for the scenic motorcoach journey through the bustling city of Lisbon and along the freeway, en route to the world famous Our Lady of Fátima Basilica. The shrine marks the site where the Virgin miraculously appeared to three young shepherds on 13th May, 1917. The story goes that the Virgin asked the children to pray for peace, and promised to return on the 13th day of every month until October. Thousands soon flocked to the sight and many swore that they saw the sun rotating on the Virgin's final appearance. Your guide will show you the neo-classical basilica, which boasts a 213-foot tower, topped by a bronze crown that weighs seven tons. The square itself is dominated by the Chapel of Apparitions, and you will have plenty of free time to explore this revered site, and browse for religious mementos.
