Drive across the east part of Limassol onto the motorway for the modern city of Nicosia, developed around the old town, which is enclosed by 16th century Venetian walls. Nicosia is still divided following the Turkish invasion. Highlights include a visit to Archbishopric Palace Square for views of the Archbishop's palace and Saint John's Cathedral as well as a stroll through quaint Laiki Geitonia, which takes you back in time with its 18th century architecture. Peruse the galleries of the Leventis Municipal Museum, showcasing the history and heritage of Nicosia from antiquity to the present day. A traditional lunch is included at a local restaurant.
