History buffs will thrill to this half-day experience where some of the most fascinating ancient historical sites await. Bring your camera, wear comfortable walking shoes, and set off via motorcoach from Limassol for a journey through the colorful Phassouri citrus plantations and the wine region where vineyards have produced vintages for centuries but now fast urbanizing.  You'll visit Cyprus's most remarkable archaeological sites. Kourion is an extensive complex of Greek ruins with panoramic vistas over the Mediterranean Sea. The massive medieval Kolossi Castle, a former Crusader stronghold, was originally built in the 13th century. And the Temple of Apollo, dedicated to the protector of Kourion, hosted worshippers from the 8th century BC. You'll have a chance to wander through fragments of the sanctuary and down ancient sacred streets. On your return, stop at Limassol town, where you can stroll to the medieval Castle Square, a European-style piazza with Cypriot charm and small shops brimming with mementos. Return to port with wonderful memories of this culture-filled day.

Special Notes:

The ground at Curium is uneven and about 15 steps are encountered visiting the Theatre, and at the public baths viewing area. At Kolossi Castle, there are about 25 steps for entering the castle's main hall and winding steps if you wish to reach the roof. This tour is not recommended with guests with mobility challenges, wheelchairs or walkers users.
