Cuzco & Machu Picchu Overland - Double Occupancy Per Person

Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
DAY ONE –
WHAT YOU VISIT
Cusco
Capital of the Inca Empire, the UNESCO World Heritage city is known for its preservation of its Incan and Spanish past.
Cusco Cathedral
With a combination of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architectural styles, the 16th century Cusco Cathedral is one of the most beautiful and important monuments of the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Lunch will be served at a Local Restaurant.
Koricancha
The lovely Santo Domingo Cathedral was built on the foundations of the Temple of the Sun, the most sumptuous temple in the Inca Empire. The curved, mortar-less masonry wall at the west end of the church is considered to be one of the greatest existing examples of Inca stonework.
Sacsayhuamán Fortress
Overlooking Cusco, the archaeological complex was constructed without mortar. Yet the massive stones - some weighing up to 300 tons - fit perfectly together. It's believed that more than 20,000 men extracted the stones from the nearby quarries and moved them 12 miles to the hill overlooking Cusco. From here you can see the summits of Ausangate, Pachatusán and Cinca, considered sacred to the Incas.
Tambo del Inka Hotel & Spa
Located in the Sacred Valley, your overnight stay in a Deluxe Room also includes dinner.
DAY TWO –
WHAT YOU VISIT
Machu Picchu
Standing over 7,970 feet above sea level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, this complex of palaces and plazas, temples and homes is recognized as a UNESCO world Heritage Site. Constructed as a royal retreat for the emperor Pachacuti in the 1400s, it may have also been used as a ceremonial site and a military stronghold. Because the Spanish conquistadors never found this hidden gem, explorer Hiram Bingham discovered it largely intact. Efforts to restore the site after centuries of weathering are still ongoing. Architectural highlights include the Temple of the Sun along with several other temples, hundreds of terraces and a mysterious carved stone towering above the plaza. The stone may have been used for astronomical observations, but because the Inca had no written language, the stone and other mysteries of Machu Picchu remain unsolved.
The train ride includes lunch and dinner onboard.
Tambo del Inka Hotel & Spa
Located in the Sacred Valley, your overnight stay in a Deluxe Room.
DAY THREE –
Sacred Valley / Lima / PISCO
Following a box breakfast at your hotel, you'll travel to Cusco Airport. After flying back to Lima, a motorcoach will take you to the port of Pisco where your ship is waiting. Box lunch is included on the way to Pisco
