Your adventure begins when you board your motorcoach and travel to the Camel Station on the outer edges of Timanfaya National Park for an exciting camel ride. Experienced camelleros (camel handlers) will help you climb up and into a wooden seat, which sits two persons on top of the hump, then you're off on an exciting 20-minute ride through the Park. Made of nothing but volcanic soil, the Park looks the same as it did when violent volcanic eruptions devastated this part of the island hundreds of years ago. You'll see the Montañas del Fuego (Fire Mountains) that were created when more than 100 volcanoes rose up over 31 miles and erupted. Then, you'll board your motorcoach for the drive to the wine valley of La Geria. After enjoying a sampling of these locally produced wines, you'll return to your ship along the same other worldly drive.
