Explore the picturesque Tuscan village of Lucca on two wheels. Your adventure begins with a scenic ride from La Spezia to Lucca. Nestled in the shadow of the Apuan Alps, this ancient Roman city is known for its Renaissance-era city walls. Erected in the 16th century, the walls are ideal to traverse by bicycle offering panoramic views of the city. Once you arrive, your guide will lead you along the walls and the maze of medieval streets arriving at the Roman oval-shaped Amphitheatre Plaza, built on the foundations of an ancient Roman amphitheater. Pedal on to architectural gems such as the Lucca Cathedral, commonly referred to as il Duomo. Built in the 14th century, it's part of a complex that includes the 4th century Church of San Giovanni and Santa Reparata. Then, the day is yours to sightsee on your own or shop.
