An easy half-day panoramic drive through the areas of Fuencaliente and San Antonio Volcano offers a relaxed sightseeing adventure filled with natural beauty. Travel to Fuencaliente town, a 17th-century spa resort centered on the therapeutic hot springs that gave the town its original name, Fuente Santa, or Holy Fountain. When the San Antonio Volcano became active in 1677, its lava flow buried the Holy Fountains forever. Today, one can observe the San Antonio Crater, just a short distance from the town. Pause to step inside the San Antonio Volcano Visitor Center to learn about the origin of the volcanoes of the Canary Islands through educational and engaging audiovisual presentations. Your drive continues on through La Palma's countryside, past the charming Canarian towns of El Paso and Brena Alta, which features an artificial beach. Your tour meanders through lovely scenery on the return to port.
