Immerse yourself in the culture of ancient Ephesus on this guided walking tour of its most celebrated sights. Visit the House of the Virgin Mary, considered by the Vatican to be the final resting place of the Virgin Mary; explore the Basilica of St. John, built by Emperor Justinian over the tomb of St. John the Apostle. A downhill walk into the ruins of the Roman provincial capital takes you past the beautifully preserved Temple of Hadrian, the magnificent Trajan Fountain, the Odeon Theater, the Celsus Library and the dramatic Great Theater, still in use today. A private luncheon is served in the heart of Ephesus at the site of the Harbor Baths. Visit the Terrace Houses, a newly excavated area across from Hadrian's Temple.
