Encounter Montenegro's rich culture, historical heritage and natural beauty as you travel by motor coach up the Lovcen serpentine hills on the way to Njegusi. A beautiful view of Kotor Bay and lovely mountain scenery accompany you en route to a local restaurant for a snack of smoked ham and cheese, brandy and wine -- all local specialties.
Back on the coach, you can sit back and relax as your journey takes you above the city of Budva. Nicknamed the "Montenegrin Miami" for its lively nightlife and crowded beaches, Budva also shines as one of the country's oldest cities. Established in the 5th century B.C., its Old Town boasts Venetian walls that jut out over the crystalline waters and creamy white buildings topped with red-tiled roofs. Get your camera poised for this dazzling panorama during a photo stop overlooking the town. Enjoy beautiful views of Montenegro as you return to Kotor for an adventure you design for yourself. Stroll past cathedrals, historic government buildings and museums before returning to the ship.
Special Notes:
The mountain road to Njegusi is narrow and winding. The road includes 25 hairpin turns and ascends approximately 3,000 feet along steep drop-offs. Passengers with a fear of heights or subject to car sickness should take this into consideration when booking this tour. An alternate route may be taken in case of poor conditions.Details
