Enjoy a narrated excursion to two of Osaka's historical treasures. Your first stop is Osaka Castle. Begun in 1583, the castle was erected on two raised platforms atop a tall stone foundation to protect the ruler from sword-wielding samurai. The Castle grounds cover 260 acres and contain 13 structures. Walk up to the top of the Castle to the observation deck and enjoy 360-degree views of the city. Your tour will then wind its way to the exhibit area, which features valuable historical materials from 1570 to 1600. Your next destination is the Sumiyoshi Shrine.
