As you journey around this treasured isle, you'll discover a tropical paradise that's unspoiled and undeveloped. First on the itinerary is one of the island's most popular spots - Big Buddha Temple. Rising 12-meters (39-feet), the gold-painted statue depicts Buddha in a state of calm and purity. Feel the serenity when you climb the stairs to the viewing platform for superb vistas of the northern coast. Nearby sits the Plai Laem Temple, site of an 18-armed Buddhist avatar of Mercy. When hunger calls, you'll stop for a delicious international buffet at a beach resort hotel. Refreshed, you'll travel to Chaweng Beach for free time to to walk along the sandy beach or shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs browse or visit at the nearby Central Festival Shopping Arcade. Final stop will be made at the Guan Yu Chinese Shrine before a return to the port.
