Bears are the superstars of the Alaska wild and to observe them in their natural habitat is one of the most sought-after adventures. This ultimate Alaska bear encounter begins with a narrated motorcoach tour to your waiting boat. Once aboard, the vessel will cruise through breathtaking Tongass National Forest to Neets Bay. Have your camera at the ready-along the way you may see whales, eagles, sea lions and other creatures that call this area home. When you reach the dock, you'll disembark near the base of a stream, where an informative guide will brief you on the bears you may be observing. Then, enjoy the serenity of this unspoiled wilderness as you walk along a well-maintained forest trail to a covered viewing platform where you have the opportunity to watch these feared, yet most revered forest creatures feed on coho, chinook, and chum salmon.
