Embark on a captivating journey through the history and culture of native Hawaiians on a three-hour adventure. Begin the day at the historic Kaua'i Museum, located in the Albert Spencer Wilcox Building, a stone structure built in 1924 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Here, you'll find a collection of artifacts showcasing early Hawaiian life and the royal Ali'i lineage, tracing their legacy from 1778 to the present. Continue to a beachfront locale to learn the art of hula, accompanied by traditional chants and timeless songs. Next, step back in time with a visit to an ancient stone temple, where the island's religious past comes to life. Finally, admire the majestic Wai'ehu Falls (also known as Wailua Falls), where double cascading waters plunge over a basalt cliff, formed by volcanic forces millions of years ago. Return to port with the aloha spirit of Kauai in your heart.
Special Notes:
Participants will walk over most flat cement and some stairs at the Kauai Museum, and a slightly steep grassy hill at Lydgate Beach. The tour is not advisable for guests with mobility issues.Details
