Spectacular Mendenhall Glacier thrills when you travel its waterways in a two-person kayak on this picturesque five-hour trip that includes a scrumptious, all-you-can-eat salmon bake. Begin with a 30-minute scenic ride to Mendenhall Lake, where you'll participate in a safety briefing and get familiar with your kayak. Then, follow your knowledgeable guide and navigate the icy blue waters that ribbon through Tongass National Forest. Your guide will point out native wildlife and fascinate you with the history and ecology of the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. For an extra rush, venture close to the face of the glacier and the thundering Nugget Falls. After paddling back across the lake, enjoy a little snack on shore then proceed to the Gold Creek Salmon Bake for a traditional, Alaska all-you-can-eat feast amidst breathtaking natural scenery. Top off the day with a treat at the marshmallow-roasting fire pit before returning to the pier.

Special Notes:

Please dress warmly and bring an extra pair of sock. Participants should be in good physical condition and able to paddle for 2 hours.
