This combination small-group tour offers you the adventure of a lifetime! Your exciting journey begins with a ride to the heliport. Donning a pair of glacier overboots, you'll board a premier helicopter for your flight over the Mendenhall Glacier. During your breathtaking flight, you'll get to see some of nature's most beautiful landscapes and vistas accessible only by air. You'll marvel at the spectacular icefalls and rock formations of the area. Set down at the dog sled camp where you'll meet top professional mushers and their dogs to learn their tricks of the trade. Then, you'll get to experience the unique thrill of zipping across the snow pack of the Mendenhall Glacier behind a team of huskies. After your exhilarating sled experience, you'll have time to cuddle the camp puppies and for pictures with your mushers and dogs before re-boarding your helicopter and return to civilization.
Special Notes:
In order to participate, children must be able to understand the rules of interaction with the dogs and a parent or guardian must be present to supervise any interaction. Weight surcharge ($200) may apply on this flight. Due to weight and balance limitations, as well as passenger safety and comfort, the helicopter companies have advised that guests weighing 250 lbs. or more (fully clothed) will be assessed the weight surcharge to reserve adequate space onboard the helicopter. Guests weighing 250 lbs. or more should reserve an extra surcharge ticket and, once onboard, go to the Tour Office to have the ticket charge adjusted down to the surcharge amount. Refer to the FAQ section for important information about flightseeing.Tour operation depends on glacier snow conditions and usually runs through early-September. Carry-on bags are not allowed and there is limited secure storage at the heliport. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones and Go-Pro Sticks or other extendable items are not permitted on tour. Aircraft fly no higher than 7,000 feet. Oxygen for personal use is allowed but must be in the form of an FAA approved portable oxygen concentrator that can be secured to the user's body.
Helicopter excursions are not refundable unless cancelled by 12:00pm on the day after embarkation.

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
