Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Soak up the views and history of the Bosphorus Strait while enjoying two complimentary drinks aboard a private boat. Nestled between Europe and Asia, the Strait has played a major role in world trade for centuries and its strategic location led the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires to use the 32-kilometer-long (19-mile-long) waterway to plunder the cities of Europe, Africa and Asia Minor. Named Constantinople in 330 after the Roman Emperor, the Ottomans would conquer the city in the 15th century; remnants of its illustrious history can be seen during the cruise so have your camera ready as you journey past some of the city's most iconic sites such as the 14th century Galata Tower; the 19th century Dolmabahce Palace acclaimed as Turkey's largest monoblock palace; and Rumeli Fortress, an Ottoman castle built by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in 1452 as he prepared to conquer Constantinople.
Special Notes:
Should you wish to purchase additional drinks during your cruise, US dollars or Euros are accepted onboard the motorboat. The local cruise boats are with standard conditions and should not be considered of high-quality deluxe boats, but rather daily operational boats to introduce guests to the Bosphorus. Steps will be encountered onboard the boat. A hat, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.Details
