Embark on an unforgettable journey with a ride aboard the Snowdon Mountain Railway. You'll drive to picturesque Llanberis Station where you'll board a diesel locomotive and travel up Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. During the 1,085 meter (3,560 foot) ride to the summit, prepare to be captivated by the serene and smooth ride that offers unparalleled views of the surrounding countryside. Look out the window for a scenic wonderland of lush valleys, sparkling lakes, and mountains shaped by volcanoes and sculpted by glaciation. Once at the summit, you'll step out and behold the awe-inspiring views. On clear days, the vistas extend as far as Ireland and the Isle of Man, making it a truly remarkable experience. Photos taken, you'll return to Llanberis Station where your transportation awaits. Marvel at even more mountain scenery as you travel along the Llanberis Pass through beautiful Angelsey before arriving at the ship.
Special Notes:
This tour is using the diesel locomotive, not the steam service and train service is to the Summit only. No restrooms available on board the train. Restrooms available at Llanberis Station and at the the Summit in the visitor center. No walkers, mobility scooters or folded wheelchairs in the carriages as they are too narrow. These items must be left at Llanberis Station. There are 2 steps to access Llanberis Station platform, a ramp is available if required. High winds may cause the train journey to be shortened or cancelled. Guests must return on the same train that transported them to the Summit.Details
