Tour the Hawaii Botanical Garden, home to thousands of tropical plant species, on this approximately 2.75 hour excursion. Enjoy a self-guided tour of this extraordinary garden set in a valley where more than 2,000 species of tropical flowers, fruits and plants reside. Be sure to visit the Onomea Museum in the Vistors' Center and stop by the stunning Orchid Garden. The garden's gift shop offers a fine array of art glass, ceramics, jewelry and other items handcrafted by local artisans. Tropical flower bouquets can be shipped the day you order. (Check shipping destinations at the gift shop.) On your return route, get a narrated tour of old Hilo town passing the statue of King Kamehameha - the islands' esteemed monarch's statue before heading back to the pier.
Special Notes:
Some sections of the paths at the garden may be steep and difficult.All children under 5 years of age and/or under 40 lbs. in weight must use a child safety seat during the van transfer to the gardens. Passengers must provide the seat.
