Lace up your hiking shoes and grab a jacket before settling into a 1.5-hour guided motorcoach ride that meanders through spectacular scenery of dramatic mountains, emerald hillsides and a sparkling fjord. Arrive at the trailhead and begin the strenuous trek to Langfoss waterfall. It's the same route used by generations of local farmers who shepherded their flocks of sheep from Eljarvik Farm to the Langfoss summer pasture farm situated on the plateau above the waterfall. You'll reach an elevation of approximately 985 feet (300 meters), then follow a path to the thundering cascade, deemed one of the most beautiful in the world. From this vantage point you'll also take in the fjord, endless vistas of the National Park and the stunning Folgefonna glacier in the distance. Return to the motorcoach, then set off to family-owned Eljarvik Farm to photograph Langfoss waterfall from a different angle and explore this historical property dating back to the 1600s. Savor a delicious buffet lunch in a local establishment, then settle in for a relaxed ride back to Haugesund.
