If you love chocolate, this tour is for you! Discover, experience and participate in the history of chocolate production at the Chocoversum, a delightful museum and working factory where you'll embark on a guided tour that tracks the cacao bean from its origins to a sweet chocolate bar. You will even have the opportunity to make your own one-of-a-kind bar with a variety of ingredients from nuts, to gummy bears to the more exotic rose petals and pink peppers. Start your tour by coach with a narrated tour to the city center. Upon arrival walk through Hamburg's Warehouse district to view the UNESCO World Heritage Site warehouse complex. Then you arrive at the Chocoversum, where you'll be enticed inside by the delectable smell. After touring the facility together with your inhouse guide, there is time to shop in its spectacular gift shop before your coach picks you up for a transfer back to the pier.
Special Notes:
This tour includes moderate walking or standing. This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties, as there is a lot of walking included.The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain.
It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be opened.
