Take in the medieval ambience of Lubeck on this half-day guided walking tour. A 75 minute scenic drive brings you to the Holsten Gate, the entrance to Lubeck's Old Town and one of the city's most treasured landmarks. Continue your walk along the picturesque River Trave and discover such highlights as the historic Holy Ghost Hospital, the best-preserved medieval hospital in Germany. The magnificent town hall, a glazed brick structure built between the 13th and 15th centuries, is complemented by the enormous gothic landmark St. Marien (St. Mary), Germany's third-largest church. Here, enjoy an inside visit. Stop at Brewery Brauberger, meet the brewery master and enjoy a freshly brewed beer and a freshly baked pretzel, and conclude with some free time at Niederegger , a centuries-old family company noted for its signature sweet marzipan.

The drive between Hamburg and Lubeck takes approximately 75 minutes each way and is unguided, you will be accompanied by an escort.The order of sights visited may vary.
On Mondays the Holy Ghost Hospital is closed and the visit will be from the exterior only. Modest attire is required, knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Shorts are not permitted. The St. Mary's church cannot be visited during public services.
In Germany, the minimum age for drinking beer is 16 years, 18 years for high-proof alcohol. Younger guests will be served a soft drink.
This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties as there is a lot of walking included and uneven terrain.
The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain.
It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be opened. This tour is not recommended for wheelchair-confined guests.
