Explore the beauty of Hamburg from two different perspectives, land and sea, on a half-day tour of its highlights. Take in the impressive Gothic architecture of the warehouse district. Drive past the oldest Stock Exchange in Germany. See the City Hall, a neo-Renaissance landmark followed by a short walk to the Lake Alster sightseeing cruise for a relaxing waterway tour. Re-board the motor coach for photo stops and views of the 917-foot TV Tower, and the Planten & Blomen urban park. See the famous St. Michael's Church, a baroque masterpiece, and step inside for a quick peek at the awe-inspiring interior, designed to hold more than 3,000 worshipers. Stroll over to Krameramtsstuben, the oldest residential district in Hamburg, and then conclude by driving through the red-light sailor's district and the bustling harbor district before returning to port.
Special Notes:
Tour order of sights may vary. An inside visit of St. Michael's Church may not be possible due to public services.The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain.
It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be opened.
