Make a splash as you navigate the rushing rapids of the scenic Balthazar River. Fed from sources located deep in the island's interior, this river is nestled amid the Grand Etang Rainforest Reserve. The fun begins with a leisurely sightseeing tour around St. George's followed by a 1,700-foot climb up to the rainforest. After a safety briefing, you'll don a safety vest, sit in your inner tube and whoosh-you're off for a wet and wild float down the river. The narrow waterway makes for a fast and all-natural water slide. Spin and swirl down a series of rapids and gentle pools where you can admire the lush tropical setting. Along the way, be on the lookout for some of the many exotic, species that make their home in this lush tropical jungle. Once you reach the end, you'll be rewarded with a refreshing glass of fruit juice or rum punch.
