What you will visit:
Gibbs Cay
Also known as Stingray City, Gibbs Cay is an uninhabited little island about one mile off the eastern coast of Grand Turk. Here, stingrays congregate in vast numbers in very shallow water, eager for bites of squid and fish fed to them by local tour guides. Swimming with stingrays is an unforgettable experience, as they are friendly and inquisitive, having grown up around people. Watch as they gracefully approach the guides who will handle and feed the marine creatures and encourage guests to interact with and feed them as well. Gibbs Cay is also home to a large population of seabirds, including sooty and noddy terns, and some of the best snorkeling on the island. The white-sand coastline is powder-soft, but water shoes are recommended, as the interior of the island has rough terrain and hills. Because stingrays are wild animals, the number at Gibbs Cay can vary from day to day.
