What you will visit:
Scottish Wool Centre
Visit the Scottish Wool Centre situated in the heart of some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery. The Scottish Border Collie has faithfully served its master over many generations of sheep farming in Scotland. You'll observe dogs putting ducks through their paces in a light-hearted display of agility and ability. Afterward, enjoy an opportunity to peruse the well-stocked gift shop at the Wool Centre which offers a splendid range of high-quality Scottish woollens and souvenirs.
Loch Lomond
You'll board a boat at the village of Balloch for a one-hour voyage on the glittering waters of Loch Lomond, the largest freshwater lake in Great Britain. Dotted with islands on its southern end, its northern end resembles a fjord whose bonny banks are famed in legend and song. As you journey through the waters, take in the breathtaking scenery that has played a significant part in the history and literature of Scotland. Following your cruise, rejoin your motorcoach in Balloch for your scenic and relaxing return drive to Greenock and your Princess ship in the harbor.
What you will see along the way:
Begin your full-day, moderately-active guided excursion at your pier where you will board a motorcoach and embark on a scenic journey through the ruggedly majestic Scottish landscape.
During the course of your outward drive, your route crosses the fertile pastures and farms of the lowlands. Travel along the craggy braes and lochs marking the border with the Highlands.
Lunch:
Take a break from your exploration to indulge in a delicious lunch at a delightfully situated local hotel.
Photo opportunity:
Be sure to have your cameras at the ready as you pass through Achray Forest and drive over the Duke's Pass, which offers superb views of distant sparkling lochs as well as the bristly wooded peaks of Trossachs National Park to the north, and the beautiful village of Aberfoyle to the south. These scenic snapshots will be a welcome addition to your family holiday photo album.
