Set off on a panoramic tour to Chatham Counterguard, built in the 19th century to protect the Gibraltar Harbor against enemy attack, followed by a wine tasting presented by the My Wines boutique. From the quayside you'll shall travel by mini-coach to the border. Along the way, you'll pass sights such as the American War Memorial and the Trafalgar Cemetery before reaching Europa Point, the southernmost point in Gibraltar. From this vantage point you can admire views of the coast of North Africa, 12 miles across the famous Straits of Gibraltar. Once you arrive at Chatham Counterguard, you'll meet a staff member from the My Wines venue who will escort you to the upper terrace. There, you'll be treated to a sampling of wines and a chef's selection of gourmet delights. Wine is available for purchase in the vault and shopping along Main Street ends your tour.
Special Notes:
You will be traveling in a mini-coach with driver/guide only. There is no storage for wheelchairs, scooters or walking devices in the transport. Bring local currency or credit cards if you wish to purchase wine.There is steep staircase (with handrails) to reach the upper terrace at My Wines.
