Gain a unique perspective on Gibraltar's fascinating history on this guided tour of its most celebrated sights. Take in the panoramic views from Europa Point, Europe's most southerly point, and see the beautiful, red and white striped lighthouse that dominates the landscape. Ride the famous cable cars with stops at Top and Middle Station. No visit to Gibraltar would be complete without seeing the Barbary Apes, the only free-roaming monkeys in Europe. These tailless creatures have been entertaining visitors to Gibraltar with their playful antics for years and have mysteriously inhabited the area for centuries. A narrated walk through the Great Siege Tunnels includes a photographic exhibit detailing the area's military history. Next stop is the City Under Siege exhibition which depicts scenes of how the civilian population lived during some very hard times. They relate many fascinating stories that have been passed down through generations of how the earliest British settlers in Gibraltar coped with life. At the conclusion of the tour you may return directly to port or stay in town for independent sightseeing.
