History comes alive with this all all-day excursion to Milan, Italy's second largest city. Upon arrival at Castello Sforzesco, you'll follow your guide to Piazza del Duomo, site of world-famous landmarks such as the 14th century Duomo, the world's largest Gothic cathedral, and on through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II filled with shops and restaurants. Just minutes away is Piazza della Scala, home to the famous Teatro alla Scala opera house. From here, you'll continue on to the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, one of Italy's oldest and richest museums, and view the brilliant "Codex Atlanticus" exhibition, the largest collection of Leonardo da Vinci's drawings in the world. To learn more about da Vinci, you'll walk to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum and take an interactive journey through working models of his machines and digital restoration of his paintings. Free time follows to enjoy lunch (not included), shop or independent exploration of the Dome.

The order of the sites may vary. Should the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana be closed, the Pinacoteca di Brera or the inside rooms of Castello Sforzesco will be visited, instead.Euros or credit cards are recommended for purchasing lunch, shopping and refreshments.
Proper attire that covers shoulders and legs must be worn by both men and women in religious places - mini-skirts, swimwear and shorts above the knee are not acceptable. In addition, visitors are often required to check-in large bags at the entrance desk. Please do not carry large backpacks or bags with you as delays may occur. Large backpacks and bags may be left onboard the transportation.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the day's conditions.
