Perfect for those who enjoy seeing the sights from the comforts of a motorcoach, this three-hour adventure features both a comprehensive drive through Genoa, a beautiful city with a rich heritage and magnificent architecture, and free time in a centrally located area. Nicknamed La Superba (the proud one) for its glorious past and ancient landmarks, Genoa was once the center of a medieval empire. Gaze upon its old town and admire the reimagined harbor front. Drive by such landmarks as Casa di Colombo, Via XX Settembre, Basilica di Carignano, Ponte Monumentale, Chiesa di Santo Stefano, Promenade di Corso Italia, and La Collina di Albaro and stop to photograph the panoramic views from Castelletto Hill and charming Boccadasse, an old mariners neighborhood. Enjoy 60 minutes of independent exploration at De Ferrari Square surrounded by public buildings, the 19th-century Stock Exchange, and the neoclassical opera house. Shop, enjoy lunch on your own, then return to port after this sight-filled day.
