Get back to nature with a guided hike to Portofino. From Genoa it's an hour's drive to the tiny hamlet of Nozarego. As you make your way uphill and down, you'll traverse a picturesque hillside covered with Mediterranean flora with 1,257-foot-high Monte Croce di Nozarego off in the distance. A photo stop is assured at a restored olive oil mill that now houses a small museum and a café. Soon, the great outdoors will call you to rest. Sit down with a picnic of white wine and focaccia bread. Rested and fed you'll continue to hike to Portofino where you'll have free time to shop, relax in a café or take in the sights. When it's time to call it a day you'll meet up with your minivan and journey back to Genoa.
