On this half-day tour, visit the Geiranger Fjord Center, witness Geirangerfjorden from a rock overhang, and travel from the fjord to the summit of Mt. Dalsnibba. Your tour begins with a scenic drive through Geiranger. Upon arriving at the Geiranger Fjord Center, you'll marvel at the exhibits on the ecology, history and culture of Norway's western fjords, and its celebrated multimedia show, 'From Mountains to Fjord.' Next, you'll travel along Geirangerfjorden and climb the mountain cliffs to Flydalsjuvet, a great rock overhanging the fjord. You'll continue through the Flydal Valley and up the steep, winding toll road to the summit of Mt. Dalsnibba. At 4,757-feet above sea level, it offers panoramic views of the village of Geiranger, the fjord with its steep cliff and waterfalls, glacial peaks and the wild Flydal River Valley. Before your drive back to the pier, you'll break for refreshments at Djupvasshytta Lodge.
Special Notes:
On voyages with calls early June, the road to Mount Dalsnibba may still be closed due to snow; if inaccessible, a stop at Eagle's Bend Viewpoint will be made instead. If Djupvasshytta is fully booked, another venue will be used
