The three-mile journey begins as soon as you step aboard an authentic 30-foot bamboo raft built just for two. As your guide maneuvers the raft down the Martha Brae River, you may feel transported in time to a gentler era when the sugar trade was king and rafts transported the sweet cargo to the merchant ships waiting in the harbor. Along the way, your guide will share ancient Arawak legends surrounding the river and point out any birds and animals that may be seen in the water and along the shore. Once you return to shore, enjoy a brief shopping stop before returning to the ship.
