You're invited by local experts Kevin and Hattie Kilmartin on an adventure to a privately owned wildlife haven. After boarding your transportation, you'll journey south of Stanley to the Bluff Cove Penguin Rookery on East Falkland Island, in the shadow of the Wickham Mountains. Along the way, you'll see miles of nothing but pristine pristine farmland, rolling, verdant hills and meandering streams. After 30 minutes, arrive at your destination to marvel at over 1,000 pairs of gentoo penguins that nest annually by the beach as well as Magellanic penguins and a growing king penguin colony. You may also see sea lions and dolphins frolicking in the waters. At the Sea Cabbage Café enjoy a delicious cream tea of beverages and homemade treats. Visit the adjacent Bluff Cove Museum and Gift Shop, depicting life in the Falklands and the history of Bluff Cove and the Falklands War and offering a wonderful selection of souvenirs, before returning to port.
