Spellbinding natural and wildlife sightings abound when you travel through the exquisite scenery of East Falkland Island to Bertha's Beach. This pristine, secluded, white-sand beach is nestled on a spectacular stretch of coastland, where ocean and wetland wildlife live and thrive in harmony. Your four-hour tour begins with travel on the main roads passing the geological stone runs, catalogued by Charles Darwin himself. After approximately an hour, continue for an additional 30 minutes off-road on a rugged ride to Bertha's Beach. Home to a thriving gentoo penguin colony, the beach is a designated 'Important Bird Area' due to the plethora of endemic and exotic waterfowl. Additionally, it carries the RAMSAR site distinction for its impeccable flora, with over 80 different types of flowering plants, including the national flower, Pale Maiden. Spend an hour on this windswept beach, photographing all you see before returning on the scenic drive back to port.
