A scenic 30-minute motorcoach drive from port along picturesque roadways of the island winds past charming villages and historic sites en route to the Villa San Martino, the summer residence of Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile on Elba. Upon arrival, step inside the villa, which now houses the Napoleon Museum, and delve into the rich history surrounding the Little Emperor and the villa itself. Reboard the motorcoach for a pleasant drive to Porto Azzurro, a quaint fishing village. Here you'll be given a brief introduction to the area followed by 1.5 hours of free time to explore on your own. Do a little shopping, take in the sights along the harbor, or peoplewatch from a local café (at your own expense). On the return drive to Portoferraio, take in the breathtaking views of Portoferraio Bay before arriving back at the pier.
