Start your journey by leaving the cruise ship and heading towards the Queensferry Crossing. As you cross the bridge, marvel at its sleek and modern design, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The bridge spans the Firth of Forth, connecting South Queensferry to North Queensferry. Upon reaching Dunfermline, make your way to Dunfermline Abbey. This historic abbey holds great significance, being the burial site of many Scottish kings and queens, including Robert the Bruce. Explore the beautifully preserved medieval architecture, stroll through the gardens, and learn about the rich history of the abbey.
After your visit to Dunfermline Abbey, enjoy some free time to explore the town. Dunfermline offers a mix of charming shops, cafes, and local attractions. Alternatively, take a leisurely walk through Pittencrieff Park, a picturesque park with scenic landscapes. As your free time comes to an end, head back towards the cruise ship. Along the way, stop and take in the scenic views of the iconic 3 bridges.

Special Notes:

Guests must be able to negotiate coach steps. No toilets available at Abbey , toilets in town centre. Adverse weather or restoration works may cause the Abbey to close at short notice. Access to the Tomb or Robert the Bruce and the Tiffany Window may be restricted at short notice due to abbey closure and private events. Terrain is mixed, grassy,tarmac ways, stone slabs, wooden boards, some carpeting . The Palace has a number of stairs(25) to access it as well as a narrow walkway, Steps , spiral staircase, stone steps throughout Palace. The Abbey has some low lighting. Depart Abbey via a ramp.

Medical Restriction:

Guests with limited mobility may not be able to visit all areas due the mixed terrain so should consider suitability for the tour.
