Speight's Brewery
One of Dunedin's most famous icons, the renowned Speight's Brewery, the oldest operational brewery in New Zealand, opens its doors for tours that delve into the history of beer in New Zealand and the story of Speight's since it opened in 1876. Learn how this iconic beer, produced in one of the only remaining gravity-fed breweries in the world, is produced. See how to make wooden beer casks and enjoy an appreciation session that includes a sampling of six Speight's beers.

Cableways Bar
A friendly English-style pub situated just over the hill from the Dunedin Octagon, Cableways Bar lies on the site of the steam powerhouse that drew 1900s cable cars over the hill from Stuart Street on the Kaikorai Cablecar Line. Enjoy your selected drink while surrounded by the artefacts of Dunedin's cable car days, including an original Roslyn cable car stationed outside the entrance.

Carey's Bay Historic Hotel
Nestled on the lovely Otago Peninsula, Dunedin's favorite gathering spot, boasts a Victorian-style pub, a wonderful local atmosphere and cozy seating areas overlooking the bay.

What You Will See Along the Way:

Throughout your day, your motorcoach drive will showcase some of the top sights to see in Port Chalmers, a bohemian seaside town, and in Dunedin, which boasts a large concentration of Victorian and Edwardian buildings due to its rapid growth before and just after the turn of the century.

Shopping:
Browse the Speight's gift shop and choose a souvenir from the wide selection of authentic beer gear. When walking along lively George Street, soak up the local culture and peruse a host of boutiques brimming with souvenirs, apparel and gift items.

Snack/Lunch:
In addition to a variety of craft beer samples, tuck into a traditional English pork pie (served cold with salad greens, relish, cheese, specialty bread; beef and ale pie (served hot with salad greens and specialty bread); or a ploughman's lunch (specialty bread. local cheese, carved ham of the bone, salad greens, pickles and spreads).

Special Notes:

Beer and wine will only be served to those over the age of 18. Bring cash or credit cards for additional purchases; alcohol purchased ashore will be will be collected at the gangway for safe keeping and will be returned to you on the last day of your cruise.

Brewery tour requires passengers to and descend approximately 240 steps throughout the duration of the tour. Close-toed shoes must be worn.
