Riverdale Performance at the Gaiety Theater
For over 20 years, Riverdance has mesmerized audiences with its innovative and exciting blend of dance, music and song. The worldwide phenomenon seen by 25 million people worldwide across six continents began its journey in Dublin. During the two-hour performance you'll be dazzled by two dozen dancers that storm the stage in unison performing dances like the jig, reel and hornpipe accompanied by instruments unique to Ireland such as the 'seisiun' trio, which consists of Irish uilleann pipes that are similar to bagpipes, the bodhran, a handheld drum covered with goat's skin and played with a wooden stick, and a fiddle. But it's the lightning-quick steps of the dancers that may leave you spellbound.
