Ideal for first-time visitors, this get-acquainted guided tour is a truly personal and informative way to see the sights. There are many hidden treasures to see on foot and plenty of opportunities to photograph public artworks, architecture, tropical plants and wildlife. And with a local in the lead you're sure to get an in-depth look at the history and events that helped shaped the city. During the two-hour walk, your guide will point out areas of interest such as the old Courthouse and Police Station, Browns Mart and the Old Palmerston Town Hall, all painstakingly reconstructed. Hear commentary of the original settlement and the gold rush of the 1800's, Indigenous heritage, the Overland Telegraph Line, WWII and the Bombing of Darwin, Cyclone Tracy, and modern day Darwin. As you walk the paths of pioneers, you'll view buildings with intriguing architecture such as The War Memorial, art galleries, and Parliament House.

Wear warm-weather clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Bring a hat, sunglasses and adequate sun protection and bottled water. Minimum age is 10 years old.Not suitable for guest using wheelchairs or those with limited mobility.
