Leaving Darwin, travel South heading into the Adelaide River Floodplains Region along the Arnhem Highway. The first stop is the Wetland Viewtop Centre atop Ludawei (Beatrice Hill), an Aboriginal owned and operated visitor centre where you can take an interpretative walk through the centre. Learn about the region, seasons and Aboriginal and European History in the area and enjoy the view across the floodplains from the viewing platform.
A short drive then leads to Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, where you can spot wildlife along the dam wall and across the reserve, before reaching Pandanus Lookout, where you will have a morning or afternoon snack and enjoy the view across the eastern part of Fogg Dam, before returning to the city.
