Lace up your walking shoes for a sightseeing tour of Heraklion that you design yourself. After a brief orientation you'll step off your motorcoach at Eleftheriou Square with approximately four-and-a-half hours to yourself. Begin with the beautiful Fontana Morosini Fountain. Built in 1628, it's considered one of the city's most important monuments. Across from the fountain is the 13th Basilica of St. Marco. For shopping, continue to Market Street, a great place to buy anything from cheese to socks. If it's historical treasures you're looking for stroll through the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. From here, it's just a few minutes' walk to the 15th Venetian fortress at the harbor. But perhaps you just prefer to sit and relax in a taverna and enjoy a glass of raki or a cup of kafe. Then, you'll meet at a prearranged time and ride back to your ship.

The Tour is designed so that you explore as much as you want of the city of Heraklion on your own. This tour does not include entrance fees, meals or a guided tour of the city. You will be provided with an escorted transfer to Eleftheria's Square, the main square of Heraklion and will be given a meeting time for the return transfer.
