Step into a world- centuries in the making with a day-long excursion to the seaside town of Rethymno. Upon arrival, you'll discover the island's treasured Venetian past with a stroll along the cobbled streets of Crete's best-preserved Old Town. With buildings dating back to the 16th century, a small Venetian-style harbor and narrow streets, Rethymno also offers a glimpse into the typical life of a Cretan with a stop at Avli Restaurant. With its flower-filled courtyard, it offers an inviting setting to savor a selection of five Greek wines enhanced by a local expert's insights. Then, journey to Agreco farm, a traditional farm that showcases age-old farming techniques. Following a tour of the olive press, watermill, wood-burning oven, general store, wine cellar, workshops, church, and guesthouses, you'll be treated to a traditional snack paired with Raki, a clear and potent grape brandy and national drink of Crete.
