What you will visit:

San Miguel
The largest town on the island, San Miguel de Cozumel is a bustling urban area with historic roots and a distinctly lively, touristy atmosphere. The cityscape is noted for its colorful, low-rise, colonial-style buildings; the Mestizaje monument, which celebrates Cozumel's cultural heritage; the Zólaco (or main plaza), which is a lush oasis in the waterfront district; open-air restaurants; and the traditional marketplace frequented by friendly locals. There is approximately one mile of walking.

Mariachi & Folkloric Performance
Experience the passionate music and invigorating dancing of talented performers and mariachi musicians. Mariachi was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is a style of music and performance that dates back to at least the 18th century, evolving musically over time and region. Its distinctive instrumentation and ornate clothing define this energetic musical genre. The accompanying dance performance represents the different regions in Mexico, with special footwork and choreography that often portray the native animals of the region.

What you will see along the way:
The island of Cozumel greets you with breathtaking white-sand beaches, lush tropical vegetation and the iridescent waters of the Caribbean Sea. As you drive at night, the twinkling city lights illuminate historic buildings and wide pedestrian boulevards.

The folkloric dance is an exciting and traditional art form that will captivate you and fill your camera with memories. Watch dresses whirl and castanets clap as the guitarist's fingers fly over the strings. Olé!
