Visit the charming village of Polperro, a picturesque fishing village, and explore the pedestrian-friendly environment on your own on this full-day excursion. En route to Polperro, we'll stop at Charlestown Harbour for a photo opportunity. This tiny village appears frozen in time since its heyday as a shipping and shipbuilding port in the late 18th century. At Polperro, disembark from your motorcoach and stroll the village streets. Fishing boats still moor in the tiny harbour, and the town is filled with small cafés and pubs where you may sample a traditional cream tea or a Cornish pasty. Once a smugglers' haven, today the old shops that offered contraband now pitch local pottery, paintings, jewelry and maritime crafts. After a couple hours of free time to explore the village on your own-shop and eat lunch-you'll re-board the motorcoach for the trip back to the ship.
