Disembarkation day offers a wonderful opportunity to explore Rome on a guided walking tour, highlighting key sights. A scenic 90-minute motorcoach drive from the port of Civitavecchia includes such exciting landmarks as Castel S. Angelo, Circus Maximus, Arch of Constantine and the Colosseum. A stroll brings you to spectacular St. Peter's Basilica, regarded as one of the holiest and the greatest of all churches of Christendom. Michelangelo's famous "Pieta" masterpiece is located inside. Following your tour of the Basilica, enjoy free time to shop for souvenirs at St. Peter's Square.
The tour concludes at Ostiense Train Station or conveniently at Leonardo da Vinci airport (FCO) for flights departing after 5:00 p.m.
Special Notes:
This tour does not include the Colosseum inside or outside visit. Views of the Colosseum will be from the bus.There may be an additional walk of approximately 15 minutes to reach Vatican's Square from the designated bus parking area.
This tour is valid only to passengers disembarking in Civitavecchia on flights after 5PM or later.

Proper attire is required. Shorts and capri pants are not acceptable.
Large back-packs or bags and items such as umbrellas, bottled water, and video cameras will be checked at security check-point at St. Peters Basilica.
St. Peters Basilica is a very popular site and visited by many tourists, passengers should expect long lines and waiting time. Should the guide foresee that the wait time is longer than 45 minute, then the interior visit to these venues will be replaced by a full explanation and description while outside and more free time.
For security reasons, St. Peters Basilica may be close at any given time without prior notice. In this case a full explanation from the outside followed by free time on own will be provided to compensate for not entering the Basilica.
Please note that St. Peter's Basilica has announced two restoration projects that may affect your visit. In preparation for the 2025 Jubilee, "Baldacchino," the gilded bronze canopy that towers over the Vatican basilica's high altar, and "Michelangelo's Pietà" may be covered in scaffolds or cloth.
Should the designed motor coach drop off / pick up point for St. Peters Basilica be congested or unavailable, an alternative drop off / pick up point location will be used. Please note that an additional walking portion of 0.6 miles from / to the alternative location should be considered.
