Designed for small groups, this excursion that offers a little bit of everything you're looking for while on vacation-a guided tour, free time, sightseeing, shopping, and plenty of photo ops. A panoramic drive through Rome includes views of the Pyramid of Caius Cestius, the ruins of the Circus Maximus, and Palatine Hill. Upon arrival in Rome's archeological center, you'll follow your guide into the Colosseum, one of Rome's most iconic landmarks. Built on the site of Nero's palace destroyed in 64 A.D., the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater ever built. Steps away is the Roman Forum, the center of religious, political and social life in ancient Rome. Inside are a number of structures and monuments including the Temple of Saturn and the Roman Senate House. Then, re-board your coach and drive to St. Peter's Square for free time to explore, shop, or taste the Roman cuisine at a trattoria.

IMPORTANT: A valid passport or photo ID is required at the entrance. Please be aware that to enter the Colosseum it is necessary to pass a metal detector security check.This tour is not refundable. Once you have booked or waitlisted, there will be no refunds or exchanges for this tour, since tickets are not interchangeable.
The 2025 Catholic Jubilee in Rome will take place from December 24, 2024 to January 6, 2026. During this time, the city is expecting an influx of visitors. Because of this, there may be increased wait times at the four major basilicas and surrounding points of interest, as well as traffic delays throughout the city. Tour timing may be adjusted to accommodate for these instances.
This tour is not suggested for Guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair. The order of the tour may be reversed or altered depending on traffic or local conditions. tour does not include lunch. Guests planning to visit St. Peter's Basilica on own during free time are advised that long queues should be expected and a conservative attire is required. No exposed shoulders and/or knees for both women and men.
The drive between Civitavecchia and Rome is approximately 1 1/2 hours, subject to traffic conditions.
