Its crowning glory, the Sistine Chapel will have you gazing towards the heavens as you take in the biblical paintings by Renaissance masters, including Michelangelo's spectacular fresco on the vaulted ceiling. An outside visit of the majesty of St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world and the grand St. Peter's Square, outlined by a monumental colonnade by Bernini, complete the morning's activities. An authentic, 1st class lunch is a welcome respite in your active day before you continue to Rome's grandest monument of all, The Colosseum, for a photo stop.
Here view the Roman Forum where your guide will provide you with a comprehensive commentary from the outside of one of the most important monuments of ancient Rome and a brief opportunity to take photos.
