Travel along the coast of Normandy, where decisive events from the Allied D-Day invasion of France took place on this fascinating historical tour. First, you'll travel by motorcoach to the Azeville Battery, a key German bunker fortification and one of the Allies' prime targets. You'll continue on to a stunning photo stop at Utah Beach. Snap pictures and imagine what it must have been like as the very first American soldiers stormed these beaches. And finally, you'll stop in the village of Sainte-Mère-Église, where, early on June 6, 1944, American paratroopers descended dramatically into the town and engaged the Germans, succeeding in occupying this tiny but strategically important town. Discover the Airborne Museum which relates the heroic adventure of paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division. Your motorcoach will deliver you back to port upon completion of this fascinating tour.
