But your guided tour starts with a drive though Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada, before heading to Green Gables House, the picturesque homestead that has become famous as the inspiration for Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic, "Anne of Green Gables." Browse the gift shop before heading to the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company for a jam tasting and delicious lobster lunch, accompanied by traditional island potato salad homemade soup, and their famous raspberry cheesecake pie.
